ST HILDA’S WALK (U2009/2/50), AMPLEFORTH – REVISED CARRIAGEWAY PATCHING & RESURFACING

I refer to previous correspondence informing you that the North Yorkshire County Council will be undertaking highway maintenance works at the above location and I apologise for a further change to the proposed start date which is due to changes to the countywide construction programme. The works are now scheduled to commence on the 11th June and last for seven working days.

The closure will be carried out between the hours of 1830 and 0000, with no noisy activities to take place after 2300. This will inevitably restrict vehicular access to properties directly affected. During the works, our contractors will try to assist you where possible during the working hours through the use of on-site personnel tasked with managing access. Please be advised there may periods when vehicle access will just not be possible due to the nature of the works and physical constraints of the site. Pedestrian access will be permitted. Emergency services will be permitted access at all times should the need arise.

On street parking will not be possible during the working hours and alternative parking arrangements will need to be found.

We request your assistance in the following ways: –

Please contact the Customer Resolution Centre on 01609 780780 to identify any special access needs you may have during the work period

• Please make arrangements to store your vehicle at an alternative location

• Please co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst within the works area.

May I draw your attention to the County Councils Corporate Privacy Policy by using the following link https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/privacy-notices. When submitting a response, we will record personal information including your name and address.

Ryedale Plan Inspection result

Report into Examination into the Ryedale Plan – Local Plan Strategy

The Planning Inspectorate issued the final report into the Local Plan Strategy (LPS) on Wednesday, 14 August 2013, following its submission in May 2012 and hearing sessions which took place in September and October 2012 and May 2013.

The Inspector has concluded that the LPS is sound, subject to the inclusion of a schedule of main modifications which is appended to his report. On this basis, the Inspector states that the LPS “provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the District to 2027”.

Ryedale District Council will  seek to adopt the LPS on the basis of the recommendations in the Inspector’s report at a Full Council meeting.
