Letter received from North Yorkshire County Council

MAIN STREET, AMPLEFORTH – CARRIAGEWAY PATCHING WORKS.

This letter is to inform you that North Yorkshire County Council will be undertaking highway maintenance at the above location.

The works are currently programmed to be carried out on Wednesday 23rd February. The work is part of an extensive programme and as a consequence, it is possible that some adjustment to this start date or the duration of the works may be necessary should unforeseen circumstances, such as significant weather events or emergencies on the highway network arise.

The closure and works will be carried out between the hours of 07:30 – 17:00. This may inevitably restrict vehicular access to properties but our contractors will try to assist you where possible during the working day, through the use of on-site personnel tasked with managing access. Please be advised, there will be extended periods when access will not be possible due to the nature of the works and physical constraints of the site. However, Pedestrian access will be permitted along with maintaining access for emergency services at all times.

We request your assistance in the following ways: – • On street parking will not be possible during working hours, please make arrangements to store your vehicle at an alternative location • Please co-operate and comply with any instructions issued by the traffic management operatives and take extra care whilst within the works area.

If you have any special access requirements during the working period please contact the Customer Resolution Centre on 01609 780780. May I draw your attention to the County Councils Corporate Privacy Policy by using the following link https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/privacy-notices. Ryedale Plan Inspection result

Report into Examination into the Ryedale Plan – Local Plan Strategy

The Planning Inspectorate issued the final report into the Local Plan Strategy (LPS) on Wednesday, 14 August 2013, following its submission in May 2012 and hearing sessions which took place in September and October 2012 and May 2013.

The Inspector has concluded that the LPS is sound, subject to the inclusion of a schedule of main modifications which is appended to his report. On this basis, the Inspector states that the LPS “provides an appropriate basis for the planning of the District to 2027”.

Ryedale District Council will  seek to adopt the LPS on the basis of the recommendations in the Inspector’s report at a Full Council meeting.
