Community Library

During the Coronavirus outbreak, the Ampleforth Community Library in the village hall is closed. However, the Library team are offering a service to deliver books and/or jigsaws to your home, or to make them available from collection points in Ampleforth and Oswaldkirk.

This is The Procedure:

  1. select your books/jigsaws etc
  2. place your order by Tuesday tea time
  3. receive or collect your order on Thursday

In order to do this:

  • Obtain a copy of the Library Catalogue from Christopher at
  • choose up to 3 books, 2 jigsaws, 1 audio, 2 DVDs and order them by contacting Pamela Staton by email: or by telephone 01439 788668 / 07484 221487. You will need to give her your name, address and contact details as well as the titles you require. Let Pamela know whether you require delivery or will collect, as well as the collection point, ie Ampleforth or Oswaldkirk
  • Pamela will collate the information and the items will be picked and either:
