Ampleforth Village Hall – Wednesdays 2-30pm to 3-30 pm.

The class is designed to suit everybody – fit or not

Suitable for men and women of all ages

For the less agile

For complete beginners

Just turn up wearing suitable loose clothing. All the exercises can be adapted for the less agile! The class not only makes us fitter but improves our co-ordination skills. We have a new instructor Andy Gamble – a very friendly and professional Gym Instructor fully trained in Fitness and Sports Therapy and qualified as a Level 5 Sports Injury Therapist.

A gentle exercise class suitable for beginners and people returning to exercise suitable for all fitness levels.
£5 per session paid on the day

Ampleforth and District Historical Society

Tuesday 9th October – 6pm in Ampleforth Village Hall. Anthony Hughes from Archives North Yorkshire (Northallerton) brings the Records Office to us. Northallerton Archives will be available to answer your questions. John Dean will also exhibit and report the progress he has made with his research into evacuees. For questions in advance contact Jeanette on 01439 788 824. Ampleforth Village Market

THE MARKET IS HELD ON THE LAST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH

Come along and support a varied selection of local businesses selling their wares. Set in Ryedale in the beautiful Howardian Hills AONB and on the doorstep of the North York Moors National Park. Only minutes from Ampleforth Abbey, Byland Abbey and the awarding winning market town of Helmsley.

Vibrant market of 30+ stalls, an eclectic mix from the finest food to titivate the tastebuds, to arts and crafts to inspire you. Including Locally reared meat, home baking and skilled patisserie, locally grown cut flowers, handmade chocolate, cheese, artisan bread, arts and crafts plus much more.

Stall holders: The Clucking Pig, High Farndale, Annabelle’s Farm Gate, Ali Bradley Pottery, Renaissance Cakes, Ryedale Cheeses, Nesfield & Piercy, White Cottage Catering Company and many more.

Ampleforth Village Market will take place behind The White Swan pub YO62 4DA. The White Swan was recently presented with the Welcome to Yorkshire Award for Yorkshire’s favourite pub!

The White Swan will also be serving tea/coffee and bacon sandwiches alongside the market.

Evocations of Rural Life

Affordable Housing Event

An affordable housing drop in event will be held on 16 July 2015 at The Village Hall in Ampleforth from 2pm to 7pm, in connection with the forthcoming new build properties for rent at Station Road, Ampleforth.

The affordable homes consist of 2 x 3 bedroom properties and 8 x 2 bedroom properties.

The event will be an opportunity for people with a local connection to Ampleforth or surrounding parishes to view the site plans and to find out about how to apply for one of these brand new affordable homes. Representatives will be there from Endeavour Housing Association and Ryedale District Council to answer questions and to help people to register an interest in one of the homes. Refreshments will be available.
